![]() ![]() And that was the cashier, who took our $8 plus tax money. Gross!!Īnother thing I noticed was that only one employee smiled. The rest were full of grizzle or either over or undercooked. I can't remember which ones they were, but out of all of them, the only edible one was the tenders. Since I couldn't find any more fish or vegetables (without going to the American menu items) I tried some of the chicken dishes. I love broccoli but half of the ones I chose were cold by the time I got back to my table. I tried to load up on vegetables only to find that broccoli was the main attraction. The only seafood I found was peel & eat shrimp in the salad section & found a baked crabmeat casserole in another section. When we grabbed our plates & headed to the buffet, I found that most of the dishes were chicken. Our drink orders came right away but the waitress didn't speak to us. We arrived at 1:00 for the lunch buffet & greeted by a semi friendly hostess. I had read reviews & they seemed to be split 50/50 on good or bad. I met a friend here recently because we decided to try a different Chinese buffet. There's a buffet in Northern Lights shopping plaza that is far superior. I won't make the mistake of returning here. Given the quality of the food, the prices were not that good, either.Ībout the only thing that was good were the staff that we interacted with. The dining area was okay but some of the booths featured seats that have seen better days, with cracked and worn upholstery. The self-serve ice cream was more like ice milk, and there were almost no items with which to create a more appetizing sundae. Things got to the point where, heaven help me, I almost took a slice of pizza out of desperation. The meatloaf was so badly prepared and overcooked that it was difficult to cut it even with a knife it was inedible. The American selections were mostly no better. Nothing I ate was noteworthy in a positive way. There's nothing in the lo main other than noodles, and very little in the fried rice to distinguish it from ordinary unfried yellow rice. If you like pork based Chinese dishes, you won't find them here. For example, there was no detectable difference between the General Tso's chicken and the sesame chicken neither were that good, and there was not even the slightest hint of spice in the General Tso's. Despite the Asian management and staff, the Asian (primarily Chinese) foods were especially substandard. are half Asian, half American, and all mediocre in quality. We were returning home after more than four hours on the road and it was convenient to stop here for dinner. It had been a long time since I ate here and I didn't remember my previous experience.
